Lovely overnight stay
Stayed overnight to visit nearby Forde Abbey. Communication following booking was exceptional, carparking on site very easily accessed.We had a lovely welcome from our host, our room was nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. Nice choice of breakfast dishes which were well cooked. Would not hesitate to book again.

Always a wonderful stay at the Watermead
We visit family in Chard a couple times of the year and always stay at the Watermead. Jamie and Gary are a lovely couple who greet you on arrival with such a warm welcome. They always remember you and ensure all your needs are consider.The rooms are very comfortable, well decorated and of a high standard. The breakfast is a must have with a great choice.I would highly recommend it if you are wanting to visit Somerset or Devon as it is so well placed

Absolutely fantastic stay from start to finish. Gary took my dad's suit case to his room showed him everything in room and took case back to car at the end of stay as my dad has illnesses

For our full general terms and conditions, please visit our website. This does not affect your statutory rights. By making a reservation you are deemed to have agreed to our booking conditions and cancellation policies.

Semi-Flex bookings a deposit equal to the first night charge is taken at the time of booking, the balance is automatically collected from the card used for the deposit 8 days prior to your date of arrival. Full payment for the whole stay is taken for non refundable bookings. If a non refundable rate is not detailed in your confirmation you have booked a Semi-Flex rate. All bookings made directly with us via our website or telephone automatically are booked on Semi-Flex rates giving our direct customers more flexibility on changes or cancellations.
When we are unable to automatically take a balance payment we will instead send you a payment link for you to complete before arrival.

When full payment for direct bookings is received a VAT invoice is available digitally upon request for the full amount . For bookings via OTA's an invoice is available but some will only be for the nett amount received from the OTA , this is because some OTA's commission charges do not include VAT.
Any damage to your room is charged at cost. No items of any value or cash should be left unattended in your room as we are unable to accept any liability for any loss you may incur.
All cars parked in our on-site car park are parked at the owners risk. We are unable to accept any liability for any loss or damage.

Booking Cancellation Policy

Semi Flex Rate - Changes and cancellations can be made up to 23.59hrs 7 days before arrival. All payments made are fully refundable before 7 days ofarrival. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will be charged a non refundable fee equal to the first nights accommodation charge only.

ALL DIRECT BOOKINGS VIA OUR WEBSITE OR TELEPHONE ARE AUTOMATICALLYBOOKED ON THE SEMI-FLEX RATE, GIVING OUR DIRECT CUSTOMERS GREATER FLEXIBILITY.

Non Refundable Rate - Changes and cancellations to bookings are not allowed. Dates are not transferable Refunds are 100% not available and no exceptions are made. We strongly advise customers to have adequate travel insurance to cover any issues.

Where a booking is cancelled or amended during your stay and/or from 00:00 hrs on the day of check-in the full cost of your initial reservation is charged as a cancellation fee for both Semi-Flex or Non Refundable rates.
